Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Yes true @Appleblossom , I always had toast for breakfast but been told to cut back on bread

And now i have porridge

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Sounds yum @Shaz51 and @Appleblossom

Dinner for me tonight is a Mexican bowl. I have it often but never get sick of it ❤️

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

You could freeze it...or you could have me over for a meal @Shaz51.

I'm not doing too badly today. I hope all is well with you. It all started out rather grim, then I got on here and have hardly stopped all day. It has all been rather uplifting. Must be the season—reminiscing and togetherness.

My tip for Financial stress and hardship would probably be to learn to live a fulfilling life that doesn't require spending money. Necessity being the mother of invention.

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Ohh @Historylover , you are always welcome and I would give you some meals to take home with you 🥰

Great idea @Historylover , there are sooo many things that we can do that does not require money

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

I am with you @Historylover  on learning to live a rewarding life with less.

@hanami @Dimity Need to soak my own sprouts

 @FloatingFeather @Shaz51

@Smc Giving away food growing in pots for free and asking a little for pretties is a wise/ reasonable way to go.

There has been a local f/b competition "how low can you go" re rubbish ... all good for a reduce/reuse/recycle lifestyle.  I usually have a bag each week sometimes its just a small fruit and veg bag, rarely buy big rubbish bags ... lol.

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Hi @Shaz51,

All okay thanks - glad it's Friday afternoon! How's all with you?

Your casserole sounds lovely - how good is it to be able to make a dish that you can freeze for those days when cooking isn't doable.

Hope your week ahead is a lovely one.

xx

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Thanks @FloatingFeather

Today is the first day of our holiday and my husband was wide awake at 5am and made me a coffee 🤣😂🤣😂

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Just tell me when, @Shaz51. 🥰

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Do you use mung beans for sprouts, @Appleblossom? I haven't been able to figure out which beans lead to the big sprouts at the greengrocer.

As for rubbish, I use the local newspapers and advertising brochures from the local shopping centres to wrap my rubbish as it happens, then bin it outside. Haven't bought plastic bin bags for years.

Re: Helpful tips for Financial stress and hardship

Half your luck @Shaz51 - not only are you on holidays but your husband made you a coffee! Where do I find me one of those husbands lol!

Hope you have a lovely relaxing holiday 🏖
