It's been an age since we've crossed paths @Shaz51. I hope you've been doing alright. I'm not up with your latest, but I hope there's been a fair share of good times.
Sending best wishes. Cheers.

@Shaz51 @TAB Thanks for the tag 🙂
Going through my supply of food and checking what I allready have ie. Instead of throwing out what is leftover in a tin, saving half tins of: lentils, chick peas, crushed tomato, coconut cream, evaporated milk etc and freezing what is leftover in the tin in a plastic zip lock bag for a future recipe.
Saw some specials at Not Quite Right (NQR) - got rice puffs (Orgran brand) for $1/box and some healthy protein treats for half price $1/treat. I bought 12 boxes of cereal and 2 large boxes of treats. Cereal at the major retailers is 3 times that amount, treats are double. NQR has some good specials I buy from them in bulk when there is a good deal but I tend to think their prices aren't cheaper. Worth checking their online store for only things you need and like I said buying in bulk.
Medicines: I heard that Chemist Warehouse was going to start offering some of their medications for a reduced co-payment or for free based on what is happening in New Zealand for folks on low incomes. I normally buy generic brands but read in The Herald Sun this week that some meds will cost you very little in future. Worth inquiring about.
Using Woolworths Rewards and Flybuys Cards for $50 off my food bill this fortnight.

things are really tough at the moment @Shaz51 i can't see it getting any better anytime soon, mum and i are having to look after mum sister, her children earn a lot of money between them but don't help their mum out, so it is up to mum and i to support her. it is so so hard on a DSP. but we have no choice. we have always survived on very little so we can do it now.

Things have gone through the roof @Shaz51 - I can't even be bothered making an effort to go to the shops anymore. It's not that I don't have the money...I just cringe at how expensive things are!

It seems like it's okay, because things are only going up a dollar or 2... but all the dollars add up, and the next thing you know, you get a $500 grocery bill! @Shaz51
As well as that, I used to like takeout once in a while... but now, prices have not only gone up, but the food itself seems sooooo average....
