Re: Sober & sober-curious

@balance37love your responses and insights!

Ive had some recent experiences with people saying I was so funny when they met me drunk but I was honest and said I found it embarrassing and/or couldn’t remember it and that honesty has extended into a deep conversation that helps both of us. I agree with honesty being the best policy despite how hard it is.

Coming to terms I had a problem made my dad reevaluate his drinking and he’s now been sober for a year and a half!

Im still stumbling but getting back up! This time seems to be different though as I have some extra support that I’m making sure to use as much as possible, but I still have “those” days.

@tyme honestly things are going well so I can’t complain, how are you?

Re: Sober & sober-curious

Great to see you @Macqua ,

Thank you for sharing your experiences. These are invaluable and upon reflection, can really help yourself and the community feel more connected.

It just shows we all have different paths and experiences, but collaboratively, we can encourage and support each other.

I've had a pretty good day today. Wanted to go to a cafe for lunch, but they didn't have any more mac and cheese bites which the kids wanted... so we ended up just having burgers and fries.

Can't complain, just as you said... life's good 🙂

See you around!

If you are both free tonight, we are having a Peer Group Chat @Macqua @balance37 on Navigating Neurodiversity. I'll tag you in later.
