How's life in the fast lane @Adge?

Life in the fast lane @Former-Member?

Feels like the slow boat, going in circles (getting nowhere) to me....

I thought the fast lane would be fun & exciting, not pain & stress - so this can't be it.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Was thinking you might have had a few people pop in as you mentioned Jelly Cat was getting used to visitors @Adge.

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

No visitors in recent days @Former-Member

Although I had my youngest brother & sister-in-law staying with me for 4 days (until last Wednesday) - I dropped them off at the airport.

Then I've had another brother staying with me, since last Wednesday (he flew in when the others left).

So far Jelly cat is opting to stay outside, to avoid people.

I'm hoping she will settle back into her more friendly routine soon.

Her routine was very disrupted, just as mine was - cat's behaviour seems to mirror (copy) their owners...

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Were these visits planned or spontaneous @Adge?

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

My brothers coming over (visits) were extremely spontaneous @Former-Member

They booked their flights, then arrived withing 24 hours of having booked.

Their visits were not pre-planned.

I was not given virtually any notice either (no flight details etc) - which is why it was so hard to predict their arrivals (to meet them).

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

It was lovely that they thought to come and check in on you @Adge. Did you find their visits helpful, stressful, both, other?

Re: Hot Chocolate Anyone ?

Yes it was lovely of them @Former-Member

They were very stressed (& anxious) at the circumstances, which lead to their flights (arrival).

Their intentions were to be helpful, & just having some company certainly was helpful.

However, I've lived on my own for 8 years.

Having people in my living space 24 hours per day (even relatives), has been extremely stressful - a major adjustment.

I had not seen or spent time with any of them in 2 years.
