I haven't caught up with any updates, but did you make a decision about your studies @Blackcloud ?

so I've had a look at the Cert IV in Mental Health at the same university that I'll be doing my bachelors degree at - they have the June and August intakes, but apparently the August intake was already full so they're no longer accepting new applicants for that - they offer full time (6 months) and part time (1 year). For the June intake, they only offer full time (6 months) so that won't work for me.
there's the same certificate available at a different uni (the same uni I did my cert IV of I.T and accounting at) and they have July intakes (it says only full time for 1 year) but yeah.
But like I said before, I will start my bachelors degree in July and then I guess we'll see if I'll be able to undertake the cert IV in the middle of me doing the bachelors (i don't know when exactly), or if I would like or need to do it after i complete my bachelors degree in years time.. I think the latter might be the better option and way to go

Do you think it is better to start with the cert and then move to the degree if it is in the same field (or similar field)? It's a huge jump otherwise I reckon. @Blackcloud
Just a thought. Sounds so exciting though! And the work you are already doing here on the forums can add to your expertise in your studies 🙂

@tyme eh, well there is placement involved in the cert & it seems that all the services for the placements that they’ll provide would involve you directly talking to clients verbally - where that would most likely be face to face... It would be better if they offered the web-chat service options too (like how Reachout PeerChat does) to make my barriers easier, as I have an issue where I struggle to properly articulate/get my words out when I’m speaking and/or explaining something to someone verbally (face to face and video/phone call). So online communications is the only type of communication where I thrive at best.
May I ask why you think it might be a huge jump if I choose to go on the degree then go onto the cert?
