Re: Your experiences with Anhedonia?

Not particularly. It's not very stimulating work, but it's all I can manage to do at the moment, and they are quite understanding of my mental health difficulties which is a plus. I do a couple of days of disability support and a few days as a cultivator with a medicinal cannabis business.

I would like to utilise my degree (Psych) a bit more in the future as my background is primarily in youth work, but just taking it slow and steady at the moment and not getting ahead of myself.

Fair enough @Former-Member .

I have a psych degree too, but after I finished it, I realised I didn't want to pursue being a psychologist as it was too clinical for me.

Hence I went into youth work too.

And now I'm more than happy as a peer worker.

I love my job. I don't think I could continue in a job that wasn't very interesting.

Re: Your experiences with Anhedonia?

Yeah I'm definitely feeling a bit stuck in that regard. On the one hand, doing work you don't like isn't good for your mental health, but my previous work (youth work) isn't particularly good for my mental health either.
Yet anytime I apply for a different role where my degree is relevant or previous skills seem transferrable, all I hear is crickets..

It gets a little bit soul-crushing after a while
