So does your Mum like Don McLean and his music - I like Vincent as well and when my daughter came home from hospital after her premature birth I loved feeding her when the house was silent and the dawn was coming after a starry starry night

Just thinking about my birth date is bringing all this back

For some reason I get the imagery in Don McLean's music but I remember at the time he said that there was no need to explain it - the obsurity of his words was part of the magic - and it surely is

I have a Companion Cat - a furry presence who always knows where I get into bed and she walks around and around meowing until I read to her for a few minutes

@Shaz51 My birthday is the 1 of March,that makes me a ( can't find the right spelling for the star sign) water anyway. I won't put the year I was born, as going back that far is just too scary.
