Laddie managed much better than expected @Former-Member. I just went out and gave him a pat and rub on the head and that seemed to keep a lid on things.
We saw a bit of the fireworks from home but it was a hit and miss with big intervals in between so we gave up and came back inside.

What sort of mower @Shaz51
I have had numerous b&s that do that and usually because the cable is not pushing enough. Can sometimes turn off by pushing on the lever at the motor.

@Shaz51 I am not sure how old this mower is, but I think has lasted a lot longer than some of the others we had.

Hi @Former-Member@Former-Member & everyone.
New Year's came & went.
It's 2019 already, which holds much promise (I think).
Well-wishes to everyone for the New Year.

Hi @Adge, lovely to hear from you.
How are your feathered friends and Jelly Cat going?

@Former-Member i still have a mower (honda) that my parents purchased in 1985-86~
Its a bit sad but great for the rough patches. It even survived being thrown our of the tray of the ute when older bro flipped it driving waaaay too fast with some new wheels and bolts in the handles. Mum and Dad had a bit of a Mr & Mrs Shaz setup on the yard maintenance and cleaning front among other things.

Hi @Former-Member
My feathered friends are well cared-for, happy & chirpy.
Jelly cat is settling down, slowly getting used to a few more visitors - she's taken over my bed, & seems to think she can sleep in my spot.

@Adge, I would imagine once you do manage to get into bed J-cat would position herself somewhere making it awkward for you to move. 😀.
