@rav3n it's my niece's birthday party tomorrow afternoon. She turns two. Other than that...not much.

hello everyone and thank you for the introduction to this space 😊
@Shaz51 that sounds wonderful and interesting! I knew someone a while ago who volunteered for that once and they said they enjoyed it
not many weekend plans for myself aside from trying to clean the house for an inspection this week and treating mum and I to some seafood her favourite

I managed to get a cold platter that’s mainly prawns, salmon, tuna, crab etc which she tends to like simple so we’ll have that for lunch and then whatever we can’t finish will probably be put into pasta for dinner, the place we ordered from is quite generous and cheap so we’ll hopefully have enough to last at least a few days afterwards. she told me all she wants for mother’s day is seafood and a day off to relax so that’s what she’s getting 😅 unfortunately she can’t have boil as she became allergic to chilli a few years ago but we come up with creative ways to make do with that

Hi @Shaz51 Has been quite some time since I’ve been online. Days months years ticking by so quickly but trying to take it moment by precious moment. Not much has changed with my girl and I. Still only communicating when needing money and 6 long years of not seeing her. The heartache is a constant, flickering away in the background and other days smack bang in my face. I try to just sit with it as much as is possible for me and let it be. Autumn so far is wet and chilly damp so garden gets my attention when the drizzle stops long enough to potter. Slowing down with the aches and pains of ageing wishing I’d prepared my body better for this stage of life but that was never really advice or a conversation had with anyone when a younger woman. It’s all good. Hoping you’re well Shaz and thanks for the tag. 🙏❤️🌹

I love your new pot @Shaz51 teapots that is 🤣
I have been "a patient" for medical student exams. One student wasn't working it out so ended up hyperventilating for 15mins - the examiner was impressed I managed to hyperventilate the whole time. I had to keep lying down for a while after the student left I was so dizzy 😂
It is really interesting and needed by students - so thank you so much for doing it, to train the next generation of doctors.
Mother's Day, not being a mother, is usually a bit lonely (I used to go to Mum's but now I live a few hours away) This year I am going to do a Mother's Day Classic 5km run or walk to raise money for breast and ovarian cancer
