Re: Tw Not Coping

Yeah, I am going to try and have some dinner @Paperdaisy

Thank you though I do hope the system improves as well.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Is anyone up for a chat @Former-Member @amber22 or anyone else?

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Eve7 I hope you are well this evening ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

@Birdofparadise8 it's a shame the acute team discharged you without letting you know. Ideally, they should have let you know and discussed options for further support. Sitting with you ❤️

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yes it is very much so I will reach out to the one more time and if they aren’t helpful I won’t worry about it @creative_writer

How are you going tonight?

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8, I feel like so much is dependent on who you get. Like I've had helpful and not-so-helpful calls before. I've had calls where I felt worse than I already did. It can be frustrating. However, once, I got referred to the HOPE (Hospital Outreach Post-Suicidal Engagement service) which was helpful. though I think there are only available for certain postcodes in Melbourne.

Nothing much here. I had dinner and watched tv. Heard back from SANE today for GS so will be starting that soon.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Definitely depends on who you get it can be hard to get someone that actually listens and wants to help @creative_writer

That is great to hear I hope you get something out of it.

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 for sure. I hope you do find a supportive team to help you navigate your mental health.

Re: Tw Not Coping

Yes I hope so @creative_writer

I talked to eheadspace not that long ago and the man suggested I go and play on a play ground as that will help with the sadness and suicidal thoughts. Feels like saying to someone have a cup of tea and you’ll be fine and won’t want to end it.

Re: Tw Not Coping

That seems like an odd thing to say to someone @Birdofparadise8 I can't imagine!

Re: Tw Not Coping

@Birdofparadise8 I feel you. I hate when people try to quickly fix things. I feel that especially if you have had long term mental health struggles, it doesn’t work. It’s like telling a kid who injured themselves not to tend to or clean their wounds and just cover it up and it’ll be okay.
